Airport Integration

Airport integration has the goal of establishing a consolidated joint airport systems operation in order to improve its global management, incorporating operating aspects as well as security, services, maintenance, environmental, business and administrative management. The consolidation consists both in the exchange of information between systems, and in the availability of proper information at the precise moment and location needed to facilitate the airport management.

Airport integration can benefit the most through the design and application of new infrastructure at the airport: The Airport Management Centre (AMC). AMC allows the operation of the airport as a single entity, subscribing to an operating model with proper means for managing information and making decisions in real time, while equipping supervisory operations personnel with the knowledge and capabilities needed to achieve the desired optimization.

During the expansion at Madrid’s Barajas Airport, Isdefe successfully provided technical assistance services to Aena (Spanish Airports Business Unit) for the planning, design, monitoring, and control of the systems integration and implementation process. Currently, Isdefe provides technical assistance services in regards to systems integration for the expansions at the Malaga Airport, as well as providing dimensional functional analysis for the Operations Centre and defining the concept of the AMC for the Palma de Mallorca Airport.

Isdefe also provides services in the transport systems area (see Capabilities section titled Transport Systems and Operations).
