Isdefe has a long track record of providing specialized services to the Government in the areas of norms and regulations.

In the air transport realm, Isdefe supports the Civil Aviation Administration (DGAC), the State Agency of Aviation Safety (AESA) and other international organisations like the European Commission and EUROCONTROL on the development and revision of regulatory functions, the administration of supplier implementation of CNS/ATM strategies, and the improvement of civil aviation security. The multiple facets of activities include, among others, the development of norms for air navigation and airport systems, the analysis of costs and establishing of fees in the navigation area, studies of safety cases, the development of the National Security Programme and revisions of the Airports and Airlines’ security programmes, together with the performing of audits and corresponding inspections.

In addition, Isdefe also provides services to the DGAC and Spanish Airports and Air Navigation Authority (AENA) on the design and restructuring of air space, and has been participating since 2000 in the development of norms for the European Parliament and the Council on the Single European Sky initiative. More recently, Isdefe has diversified activities in this realm to reach other organisations in the Government such as the Ministry of the Environment. Specifically, Isdefe is collaborating on the development and modernization of the National Weather Agency (AEMET).
