María Amparo Valcarce García, the recently appointed Secretary of State for Defence (SEDEF) and President of Isdefe, met with the engineering company's governing body to probe and gauge the company's capabilities.
The meeting addressed issues such as Isdefe's contribution to public service as the Ministry of Defence's internal technical service provider, as well as the capabilities and services that Isdefe provides in its areas of activity.

Isdefe is part of a consortium of 21 partners from 13 European countries that, with support from the EU's Horizon 2020 programme, has launched the 18-month European NESTOR project.
The NESTOR project - An Enhanced Pre-Frontier Intelligence Picture to Safeguard the European Borders - addresses and supports the Integrated Management of European Borders by incorporating the most advanced surveillance technologies into a deployable holistic system that is capable of detecting, evaluating and effectively responding to illegal activities.
Four thousand Euros was the amount collected from Isdefe staff to benefit refugees from Ukraine.
The funds were raised via an online drive launched by the Isdefe CSR Unit.
In collaboration with the campaign carried out through the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) the Isdefe CSR Unit launched an effort in March to facilitate humanitarian aid donations.
In this way UNHCR gained support to continue to provide assistance to people who have been forced to flee their country.
