8 March: International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is being celebrated worldwide on 8 March, under the theme “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”.

Isdefe, as a socially responsible company, is carrying out various activities throughout the year as part of its commitment to the 2030 Agenda.

As a signatory member of the Global Compact, Isdefe is committed to making progress to comply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), including “Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”.

In 2021, for the second year in a row, the Company was involved in the “International Day of Women and Girls in Science” through corporate volunteering activities, and it is also part of the SDG Ambition programme, whose goal is to set ambitious corporate goals and speed up the integration of the 17 SDG into the company’s core management.

On 8 March, Isdefe celebrates the eighth anniversary of its Code of Ethics, which was published on this day in 2013 and includes amongst its rules that of “Equal opportunity and non-discrimination” and encourages “a balance between professional, family and personal life”. It also specifies mechanisms “intended to prevent, identify, address and sanction any harassment or discrimination in the workplace”.
