Computers donated by Isdefe sent to Mali

On Tuesday, 27 December , a Spanish Air Force cargo plane left for Mali with 68 laptop computers aboard donated by Isdefe.

The Operations Command took advantage of the visit by the Minister of Defence, María Dolores de Cospedal, to the international missions of the Armed Forces stationed in Senegal and Mali to transport in the aircraft’s hold the laptops donated by Isdefe through the Operations Command.

The computers were delivered as part of the partnership in place between Isdefe and the Operations Command of the Defence Staff, the purpose of which is to contribute to the technological development, progress and training of local communities in the area of operations.

In 2015 Isdefe donated computer materials to three schools in the south of Lebanon through the civilian-military unit stationed at Spain’s “Miguel de Cervantes” Base of the UN mission in Lebanon, and in April of 2016, toys gathered from Isdefe employees during the 2015 Christmas Charity Drive were distributed to various schools in Mali.

Through this type of initiative Isdefe helps the Armed Forces in their task of supporting local civilian populations in the complex theatres where they work.
