Isdefe and the AEIS organise the 1st National Congress on Systems Engineering

The 1st National Congress on Systems Engineering, organised by Isdefe and the AEIS, will take place on 25 October on the topic of “Cross-sector Vision of Systems Engineering in Spain”.

The technical and educational Congress will be held at Isdefe’s headquarters in Madrid and feature public managers and experts from industry and academia on how to practise and develop systems engineering. The goal is to offer a broad overview of the status of this discipline in Spain. With its practical and dynamic approach, the congress will host presentations, success stories and debate roundtables. In addition, those wishing to take the INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification exam may do so free of charge.

Ingeniería de Sistemas para la Defensa de España (Isdefe) was founded in 1985 for the purpose of helping Spain’s Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces define the technical specifications of their programmes. After 30+ years of experience, Isdefe has become a national leader in the field of public-sector systems engineering and is the Administration’s in-house provider of Defence and Security services.

The Spanish Association of Systems Engineering (AEIS), founded in 2014 and based at the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering, hosts the Spanish chapter of INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering), an international non-profit organisation of professionals founded in 1990 to develop and promote Systems Engineering principles and best practices.
