Isdefe hosts a workshop on Configuration Management in the area of Defence and Security

On 25 June Isdefe hosted a workshop on “Configuration Management”, organised by the Spanish Association for Quality’s Committee of Defence Industries and Services.

The workshop brought together representatives from Spanish defence and security companies in an effort to share best practices in this area, and specifically within the framework of the PECAL/AQAP 2000 Series. The application of PECAL entails configuration management intended to ensure a product conforms to contractual requirements while synchronising the technical information needed over its entire life cycle.

The proceedings were opened by the Ministry of Defence’s Assistant Director of Industrial Inspection, Regulation and Strategy, Mr. Enrique Díez de Ulzurrun, by Isdefe’s Director of Planning and Finance, Mr. Víctor Días Iglesias, and by the CEO of the AEC, Ms. Marta Villanueva.

Isdefe engineer Mr. Luis Montero, of the Defence and Security Office, gave a presentation titled “The life cycle of the configuration management process”.
