Isdefe joins the #apoyamoslosODS (We Support the SDG) campaign promoted by the United Nations Global Compact Spain.

The goal of the #apoyamoslosODS campaign is to provide a platform to achieve a magnifying effect and to disseminate and further the 2030 Agenda.

Corporate management based on the SDGs creates new business opportunities, improves relationships with stakeholders and promotes innovation.

In an effort to contribute to and promote the mobilisation of society in the “Decade of Action”, Isdefe is joining the #apoyamoslosODS campaign launched by the United Nations Global Compact Spain, an initiative to which it belongs, to work on disseminating the SDGs.

In 2009, Isdefe joined the UN Global Compact, the world's largest sustainability initiative. Since the approval of the 2030 Agenda in 2015, in addition to its commitment to promoting the Ten Principles, it has worked to align its corporate management with the SDGs, improve relationships with its stakeholders and promote innovation.

Accordingly, Isdefe has set up a series of commitments and best practices that are consistent with its strategy, the most recent of which involves the agreement between the Secretary of State for the 2030 Agenda and different public entities with the aim of collaborating in as many initiatives, studies, programmes, measures and actions as can be jointly developed to further compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda.

Through these types of actions, United Nations Global Compact Spain and its member organisations seek to contribute to the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, work that, in these times of crisis and uncertainty, is shaping up as the formula for creating a sustainable future.

Six years ago, the United Nations General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the unanimous support of the 193 participating States, including Spain. "Leave no one behind" is at the core of the agreement. The SDGs seek to end poverty and hunger, reduce inequality and tackle urgent challenges like climate change.

To achieve such an ambitious Agenda, it was agreed that everyone would do their part: governments, companies, civil society and citizens from all over the world. Its strength comes from the universal character of the agreement and the ambition of its goals. Achieving them requires an unprecedented effort from every sector of society, and companies have a very important role to play in this endeavour.

With less than ten years to go to comply with the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, has called on all sectors of society to mobilise in this "Decade of action".
