Isdefe participates in the 6th National Congress of The Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC)

The 6th National Congress of the Technical Association of Ports and Coasts is being held in Palma de Mallorca from October 19th to the 21st. This initiative is sponsored by Spain’s Ports of the State and by the port authorities of the Balearic Islands, Barcelona, La Coruña, Motril, Seville and Tenerife, as well as by leading companies in the industry.

This premier gathering to discuss port and coastal issues provides a forum in which to share experiences in the area of port planning and management, and to get a head start on future challenges by taking advantage of new opportunities in the industry.

This year’s congress is focusing on the comprehensive planning and managing of Spain’s port infrastructure. Some of the topics of this congress will include integrating ports into global supply chains, managing port and coastal public domains and sustainability.

Sara Blanco Monge, a systems engineering in Isdefe’s Civil Engineering Department, will give a presentation at the congress titled “Preparing a National Action Plan to Develop the LNG Market in the Maritime Transport Sector and to Implement the Infrastructure”, to be given today, October 19th.

Isdefe’s presence at this congress is backed by its thirty years of experience in specialised consulting and technical support activities in the transport sector. Isdefe is also committed to exchanging know-how and to searching for new, efficient, safe and sustainable solutions.
