Isdefe ranks eighth in the Transparency Index of state-owned companies

It has been almost five years since Law 19/2013 of 9 December on transparency, access to public information and good governance went into effect, laying out a new way to view relationships between the Administration and the citizenry.

Ever since, in compliance with its legal obligations, Isdefe made available to the public a “Transparency Portal” on its website.

Over the course of 2018, Isdefe has expanded and modernised its Portal, based on the recommendations of the Council on Transparency and Good Governance, in an effort to consolidate a corporate culture of integrity and good, transparent governance.

In July 2018, the non-governmental organisation Transparencia Internacional España (Spanish chapter of Transparency International –TI) published its first Transparency Index of State-Owned Companies (INDEP), which assesses for the public the transparency of the largest 45 state-owned companies by using a set of 60 indicators.

Isdefe ranks eighth out of the 45 state-owned companies evaluated, which once again underscores our firm commitment, based on our values and principles, to complying with the law, which is a conditioning factor of the cultural change we are going through.
