Isdefe takes part in the workshop “Robotics and unmanned systems for security applications”

The Spanish Network of Robotics and Mechatronics (REDROM) and the Spanish Society for Robotics Research and Development are organising a workshop on “Robotics and unmanned systems for security applications”.  This gathering will take place at the School of Industrial Engineers in Madrid on 2 December. 

The goal of this forum is to share R&D proposals and programmes in the area of robotics and security. Government organisations, academia, research centres and security companies, among many others, will present their applications and advances in this area.

Isdefe will take part in this workshop with a talk by our Head of Business Development, Álvaro Manresa. His presentation, titled “Measures for counteracting the use of drones for terrorist purposes and the current status of technology”, is part of the roundtable on “Systems and applications”. In it, Álvaro will review Isdefe’s support for the National Security Office, through its Department of Projects and Studies, to launch a National Security Programme against the threat of using drones for terrorist purposes.
