In July of last year, the Defence Ministries of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Spain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) intended to promote industrial cooperation between institutions and companies in the defence sector.
Subsequently, as part of the MoU, UAE Defence officials and Isdefe signed an agreement to set up the UAE National Military Airworthiness Certification Authority. As a result, Isdefe is providing technical support to the international collaboration activities of the Defence Airworthiness Authority, which include establishing the military airworthiness authority of the United Arab Emirates.
Isdefe, as part of its efforts to support Spain's government abroad, set up a stand at the Dubai International Air Show, which began on Sunday, 14 November, and will run through 18 November.
The company's stand welcomed a visit from the Director General of Armaments and Matériel (DGAM) for the Ministry of Defence, Admiral Santiago Ramón González Gómez, and Deputy Director General of International Relations at the DGAM, Rear Admiral Nicolás Monereo Alonso, who visited the stand with Major General Staff Mr Ishaq Saleh Mohammed Al Baloushi, Executive Director of Defence Industry & Capability Development of the UAE. They were greeted by Mr Jesús Alonso Martín, Director of Business Development at Isdefe, Mr Daniel Acuña Calviño, Director of Operations and Mr Juan Manuel García Montaño, Assistant Director to the CEO of Isdefe.
