Isdefe will support the development of the National Military Airworthiness Authority in the United Arab Emirates

Last July, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Spanish Ministries of Defense signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the purpose of promoting industrial cooperation between institutions and companies in the defense sector. Subsequently, and within the framework of the MoU, the UAE Defense authorities and Isdefe subscribed an agreement for the development of their National Military Airworthiness Certification Authority.

On September 2^nd took place in Isdefe the first day of the Project Conference chaired by D. Jesús Alonso Martín, Director of Business Development and Lt Gen (ret) Juan Manuel García Montaño, Deputy Director to the CEO. The Conference was attended by His Excellency the Emirati Ambassador Majid Al- Suwaidi, who highlighted the relevance of the initiative not only in the field of defense but also in the development of the long-term relationship between Spain and the Emirates. In turn, Ambassador José Eugenio Salarich, former head of the Spanish Embassy, gave a brief presentation on the history of the UAE and the relations between both countries.

Finally, the Military Attaché of the UAE Embassy, Col Yousef Al- Naqbi , and the Head of Planning and Bilateral Relations of the Office of Foreign Support (Oficaex) of the Ministry of Defense, Col Jesús Sánchez Loureiro, made a presentation on the background and objectives of the project of the National Authority . Also present at the Conference was GB Luis Manuel López González, Chief of the Oficaex, representing the Sub-Directorate of International Relations of the Secretary of State for Defense.
