Isdefe works with the Ministry of the Interior and Spain’s law enforcement agencies (LEA) in their constant commitment to innovation in Security

On 6 October Isdefe hosted at its headquarters a workshop from the National Security Office entitled “Horizon 2020 Programme: New Opportunities to Enhance R&D Capabilities in Law Enforcement Agencies.”

Mr Diego Pérez de los Cobos Orihuel, Director of the Coordination and Studies Department for the National Security Office, opened this forum following introductory remarks by Isdefe’s Director of Business Development, Mr Jesús Alonso Martín. Both noted the importance of innovation as a key factor in the success of future initiatives. Mr Enrique Belda Esplugues, Assistant Director of Information and Communications Systems for Security, closed out the workshop.

The goal of the forum was to provide a forum for officials from the National Security Office, Spain’s National Police and Civil Guard, and organisations like the CDTI and Isdefe, to meet and discuss the development of R&D projects in Security as part of the European H2020 Horizon Programme. The workshops addressed the importance of progress in R&D on Security, the practical aspects of these projects, and provided some success stories involving the Ministry of the Interior.

Through its participation Isdefe reaffirmed its constant support for the Ministry of the Interior and LEA in the execution of pioneering R&D projects, thus consolidating its status as the benchmark in-house provider of Defence and Security services.
