Jesús Carrera Martínez, Manager of Tactical Platforms and Systems at Isdefe, took part in the second session, “Robotics and Drones”, of the 28th Defence and Security Technology Workshop, held in Madrid on 29 and 30 October.
The theme for this biennial workshop, organised by the Foundation for Defence and Security Technologies, was the in-depth analysis of the key technologies that lie behind this digital revolution.
The speakers included experts from Spain’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies, universities and companies, who debated the digital challenge and the actions to take in complex scenarios, where the cyberspace dimension plays a fundamental role. The scope of these “smart technologies”, whose development is of critical importance, was discussed during different sessions of the workshop.
The opening conference of the workshop was hosted by Army Brigadier General Miguel Ángel Ballesteros Martín, Director of the Homeland Security Department of the President’s Office, and closing the workshop were the President and the Managing Director of the Foundation for Defence and Security Technologies, Mr Vicente Ortega Castro and Ms Marisol Martínez Tirado.
