PRESENTATION CEREMONY 3rd CALL FOR PROJECTS TO SOLICIT AND MANAGE R&D IDEAS

On 26 February in the Isdefe assembly hall, the awards were presented for the 3rd Call for Projects to Solicit and Manage R&D Ideas.

As in previous years, this initiative highlights the entrepreneurial spirit of Isdefe’s employees, who are invited to take part in internal research, development and innovation projects.
Now in its third year, this programme is shaping up as one of Isdefe’s leading R&D initiatives, allowing us to anticipate the needs of the Administration by offering innovative solutions.
Of the 15 high-quality proposals received, the two winners will be developed as internal R&D projects, while the rest will be diverted to the most suitable mechanisms for possible development.

The event, which was opened by Isdefe’s CEO, Mr Francisco Quereda, included a presentation on the results of this 3rd Call, made by the Director of Business Development, Mr Jesús Alonso.

During the event a roundtable was held, moderated by Álvaro Manresa, Head of Business Development, on the “Relevance of R&D to the Civil Guard and ENAIRE”, featuring 2nd Lieutenant Tomás Fernández de Tejada Saralegui, of the Civil Guard’s Technological Innovation Service, and Fernando Ferrández, Head of the European Convergence Division at ENAIRE.

Next, Daniel Mosquera, Head of the R&D Dept., gave an overview of the status of the winning projects from the previous year: DECIDE, presented by Alfredo Peña, and PRS4ASMON, presented by Alejandro Girón.

Then the Director of Business Development, Jesús Alonso, and the Director of Operations, José Manuel Herrera, awarded certificates for the projects submitted during the 3rd Call for Projects to Solicit and Manage R&D Ideas.

Francisco Quereda, Isdefe’s CEO, and AF General Moisés Manuel Fernández Álvaro, Deputy Director General of Coordination and Planning for INTA, were charged with presenting this year’s awards, which went to Jorge Bueno Gómez, whose project is titled “Design for a Spanish UTM architecture”, and to Raquel Pastor Pastor and Juan Carlos Iravedra Bellosta, for their project, titled “EMEGEWEA . After the presentation, AF General Moisés Manuel Fernández Álvaro, Deputy Director General of Coordination and Planning for INTA, gave a lecture on “INTA as a relevant actor in R&D”.
Finally, the event was closed out by Isdefe’s CEO, who thanked the all assistance for their participation.
