For two days, on 17 and 18 May, Isdefe welcomed at its headquarters professionals from Germany, Austria, France, Portugal and Sweden, as well as representatives from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Multinational Logistics Coordination Centre (MLCC) and the European Agency Defence (EDA) in order to present the EDA’s “Federal Logistics IT Network” project.
This was the theme of the eighth summer course held on 27 and 28 June at the CESEDEN and organised under the auspices of the Ingeniero General Antonio Remón y Zarco del Valle Chair, with Isdefe collaborating.
This chair, which focuses on teaching, academic and research activities related to Security and Defence, is part of the framework agreement for collaboration between the Ministry of Defence (through CESEDEN) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Held at the National Police Academy from 21 to 23 June, C1b3rwall is the congress on Digital Security and Cyberintelligence.
It was first held in 2019, when it brought together nearly 4,000 attendees. This second edition was organised at the National Police Academy in June 2022.
During the congress, three engineers from the Information Security Office of Isdefe’s Technology Modernisation and Digital Transformation Department shared their experiences and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, spearheading one talk and two technical workshops.
From June 20 to 24, 2022, Spain's Institute of Engineering (IIE) organised the 4th Space Engineering Congress (CIE) and the 1st Interdisciplinary Space Week (SIE), at which different Isdefe Space engineers, members of the UC3M-Isdefe Space Chair, and heads of other areas of the company moderated two round tables, with members of Isdefe's Innovation team also attending.
María Amparo Valcarce García, the recently appointed Secretary of State for Defence (SEDEF) and President of Isdefe, met with the engineering company's governing body to probe and gauge the company's capabilities.
The meeting addressed issues such as Isdefe's contribution to public service as the Ministry of Defence's internal technical service provider, as well as the capabilities and services that Isdefe provides in its areas of activity.
