On 9 June, the city of Córdoba hosted the 2nd Workshop for companies on the technological project of the Army Logistics Base, in which engineer Santiago Adán, from Isdefe's Department of Consulting and Strategic Management Processes, participated.
The event was inaugurated by the rector of the University of Córdoba, Mr José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, and by the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Francisco Javier Varela Salas.
The awards for the 6th edition of the Isdefe R&D programme to gather and manage R&D ideas were presented on 2 June.
The event, held from the Isdefe assembly hall with the minimum number of attendees and all the measures recommended by health authorities, was broadcast live on the YouTube social network https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSqI9NUp1sQ
More than 150 specialists and scientists from the Space sector exchanged their knowledge and experiences at the virtual seminar held on May 20 and 21, under the theme "Strategic Activities in the Space Sector".
The participating organizations - Isdefe, INTA, Hisdesat and CONIDA (Peruvian Space Agency) - shared lessons learned in the execution of their projects, as well as their visions of the future regarding the social benefits that such organizations can provide through the use of space.

Isdefe took part in the webinar on “Geospace intelligence in support of the decision-making process in the European Union”, which was held on Wednesday, 12 May and was organised by the Ministry of Defence’s General Directorate of Armament and Materiel, in concert with the European Union’s Satellite Centre (SatCen) and the Rumanian Ministry of Defence.
The event considered the geospace capabilities and technologies that the European Union will need over the next 5 to 10 years for its decision-making processes.
Elena Fernández and Ángel Cerada took centre stage at the presentation of the Defence and Security Chair of the Isdefe Horizons Network as the winners of the best Master’s and Undergraduate theses.
The event was held virtually on Thursday, 15 April, and featured, in addition to the recipients, Mr Félix Pérez, Director of the Advanced School of Telecommunications Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSIT-UPM) and Mr Mateo Burgos, Director of the Isdefe-UPM chair in Defence and Security.
