On 16 November, the Army’s War College hosted the ceremony for the 55th edition of these awards.

Presiding over the gala was the Minister of Defence, Ms María Dolores de Cospedal, and the Army’s Chief of Staff, General Francisco Javier Varela Salas. Attending the event were the Head of the General Directorate for Armaments and Materiel (DIGAM), Lieutenant General Juan Manuel García Montaño, the Head of the Logistical Support Command, Lieutenant General Ramón Pardo de Santayana and other high-ranking civilian and military officials.

This past October, the workshop organised by the Defence and Security Defence Technologies Foundation was held at the Ministry of the Interior’s Technology Security Centre (CETSE).

The Head of the Surveillance Public Security Technologies Department, Juan Carlos Iravedra, from Isdefe’s Defence and Security Office, took part in a roundtable on “An Insight into Big Data from Solution Integrators”. 

The 22nd International Congress of the Latin American Administrative Centre, on “Reforming the State and Public Administration”, which started on 14 November, concluded today in Madrid.

Tirso Camacho Mira, Head of the Strategic Planning and Process Department, of Isdefe’s Consulting and Process Office, took part in a panel on “Public employee networks: creating public innovation ecosystems and their impact on organisations”, along with representatives from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Rivas-Vaciamadrid city government and the National Institute for Educational

Isdefe is supporting this project of the Sandra Ibarra Foundation, a non-profit organisation devoted to financing research projects and to promoting cancer awareness campaigns. The project kicks off on 15 November with the presentation of the book Diario de vida, written by journalist Juan Ramón Lucas.  

As part of its efforts to promote its corporate social responsibility and engage with the public sector, Isdefe is joining this charity project, partnering with other state-owned agencies like ADIF, Aena, Correos, ICO, INECO, Metro, Renge and the Tragsa Group. 

Spain’s Official Institute of Aeronautical Engineers and the Spanish Association of Aeronautical Engineers will organise the 2nd Space Engineering Congress from 22 to 24 November at the headquarters of the Spanish Institute of Engineering.

In addition to sponsoring this event, Isdefe will be on the agenda with the presentation of the Isdefe Horizons Network Space Node, which will be given by Rosa Pulido, Head of the Communications and Ground Segment Division of Isdefe’s Stations Department, and by Professor Pablo Fajardo, of the Aerospace Bioengineering and Engineering
