Ricardo Rizzo, Juan Ángel Vaquerizo, together with the Head of the Astrophysics and Space Sciences Department of the Directorate of Space and Technological Centers at Isdefe, Ricardo Pérez, took part in this event, which brings together Spain's professional astronomy community to discuss the most relevant results in this field.

From 5 to 9 September, the 15th Science Conference of the Spanish Astronomical Society (SEA) was held at the University of La Laguna, in collaboration with the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, with this year's edition bringing together 500 astronomy professionals.

For the first time, this year the SEA invited the Italian Astronomical Society and the Italian astronomical community in order to reveal the scientific partnerships between groups from both countries and enhance collaboration between the two countries.

The conference is very important for Isdefe to gather knowledge about the status of the main research projects in the field, the national and international scientific and instrumental initiatives with Spanish involvement, and which companies are participating in them.

By having its professionals at this event, Isdefe can take the pulse of the astrophysics and space sciences sector, establish contacts with scientific groups and other companies in the field, and showcase its own capabilities so it can help Spanish astrophysics, the vast majority of which takes place in the public sector, make a name for itself internationally.

The 15th Science Conference of the SEA provided the perfect setting to explain the scientific and technological advances in astronomy from recent years, and Spain's participation in all of them.
