One more year, Isdefe will take part in conference "Los satélites como un elemento clave para la defensa y las aplicaciones gubernamentales", organized by Hisdesat and Acorde.The goal of the event is to discuss about Security and Defence industry’s communications. The event will take place from September the 2nd to September the 4th at Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Santander. The conference pretends to provide solutions and to explore new ways to favour communications, focusing on our Armed Forces’ needs, both nationally and internationally.

This week, on the 20th and 21st, Isdefe is organising a summer course on “Satellite Navigation:  Systems, Services and Critical Security Applications”, as part of the Summer Courses series held by the UPM at the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso (La Granja, Segovia).

The course was inaugurated by Isdefe’s CEO, Mr. Francisco Quereda Rubio, and the sessions will feature the leading organisations in the sector, such as Spain’s Defence Ministry, the Civil Guard, ESSP, ESA, AESA, INTA, ENAIRE, Ports of the State, and representatives from academia and from defence and security

On 25 June Isdefe hosted a workshop on “Configuration Management”, organised by the Spanish Association for Quality’s Committee of Defence Industries and Services.

The workshop brought together representatives from Spanish defence and security companies in an effort to share best practices in this area, and specifically within the framework of the PECAL/AQAP 2000 Series. The application of PECAL entails configuration management intended to ensure a product conforms to contractual requirements while synchronising the technical information needed over its entire life cycle.

On 24 and 25 June 2015, the inaugural Space Engineering Congress was held at Spain’s Engineering Institute, organised by the Official Association of Spanish Aeronautical Engineers (COIAE).

 

Isdefe hosted the Forum on Public-Private Cooperation in Cybersecurity, which is organising a workshop on digital forensic investigation, to be held on 29 and 30 June.

This workshop is intended for judges and prosecutors, who will learn first-hand of the changes made to the new Penal Code and criminal offences involving computer crimes.

The event will feature representatives from the Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Division, the Ministry of Justice, the judiciary, as well as members of Spain’s national police and Civil Guard, as well as important companies in the
