ISDEFE takes part in the 22nd International CLAD Congress on Reforming the State and the Public Administration

The 22nd International Congress of the Latin American Administrative Centre, on “Reforming the State and Public Administration”, which started on 14 November, concluded today in Madrid.

Tirso Camacho Mira, Head of the Strategic Planning and Process Department, of Isdefe’s Consulting and Process Office, took part in a panel on “Public employee networks: creating public innovation ecosystems and their impact on organisations”, along with representatives from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Rivas-Vaciamadrid city government and the National Institute for Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (INTEF).

This panel dealt with topics like the appearance of innovation ecosystems (groups and structures of public entrepreneurs devoted expressly to innovation) and how to transfer work from these ecosystems to administrations.

Isdefe’s involvement focused on the case study of an internal R&D project on “Balanced Scorecard”, and the collaborative workshops set up with other public organisations involved in this project. These workshops, which were attended by representatives from 12 public sector organisations, were used to steer and enhance the project’s results based on the priorities and recommendations proposed by the participants. They also helped to create a network in which to share concerns and experiences pertaining to public sector strategic planning.

The Congress was sponsored by the Latin American Administrative Centre for Development and the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Revenue and the National Institute for Public Administration (INAP).
