Isdefe Partners with the 2017 Navy Awards

The Minister of Defence, Ms María Dolores de Cospedal, presided over the presentation ceremony for the 2017 Navy Awards.

The event, held on Wednesday the 14th in the Hall of 19th Century Ships in the Navy Museum at the Navy Headquarters, was attended by the Secretary of State for Defence, Mr Agustín Conde Bajén, the Chief of the Defence Staff, Army General Fernando Alejandre Martínez, the Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Teodoro López Calderón, and the Secretary General for Defence Policy, Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez, as well as by other VIPs.

This year saw the recognition of the work of the Marín Town Hall in Pontevedra, due to the close ties it has with the Navy and for its support during the preparation and staging of the events to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Royal Company of Officer Cadets.

Also presented were the 2017 Virgen del Carmen awards, the 2017 Navy Athletic Award and the 2016 Revista General de Marina (Navy Magazine) Awards.

Isdefe’s Director of Business Development, Mr Jesús Alonso Martín, and the Director of the Revista General de Marina, Navy Marine Colonel Francisco Javier Ayuela Azcárate, presented the Revista General de Marina Certificate to Vice Admiral (Reserve) Julio Albert Ferrero, in recognition of his constant and enthusiastic contributions to the magazine, through both articles and reviews of various naval and maritime activities, which he started as a columnist in 1966.

Isdefe partnered once more with the Navy’s “2017 Virgen del Carmen” Awards, which promote an interest in maritime affairs and spread the naval culture throughout Spain.
