The summer course on Space Exploration: A Scientific – Technological View was held on 6-7 July at the Universidad de León. This event, which was open to everyone interested in learning about this subject, was attended by over 750 students and was opened by the dean of this university, Juan Francisco García Marín.

The third edition of the international conference on green technology in ports, the Green Energy Ports Conference, was held in Vigo on 27, 28 and 29 June. This event is used to share the latest technologies implemented in ports all over the world and brings together the leading professionals and officials from the maritime – ports industry.

The Green Energy Ports Conference hosts this exchange of knowledge and relies on a philosophy to protect and preserve the environment within the scope of global maritime transport and port logistics.

The fourth edition of the SYMDEX workshops drew to a close on 28 June at the Army’s Polytechnic School. This edition, whose theme was “The cycle of life and new technologies”, focused on the current and future impact that new technologies, like self-diagnostic structures, additive manufacturing, reuse, simulation and industry 4.0 have on the maintenance and modernization of Defence equipment and systems. Numerous experts in logistics from the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and the public sector debated this topic.

The 37th annual awards for the best doctoral thesis, senior-year projects, Master’s projects and best academic record in Telecommunications Engineering were presented this past Friday, June 23rd.

The presentation ceremony was held in the event hall at Spain’s Institute of Engineering, which was opened by the Dean-President of the School of Telecommunications Engineers and President of the Spanish Association of Telecommunications Engineers, Eugenio Fontán Oñate.

On 20 June, Isdefe hosted the 1st Workshop on “Security Technology Foresight”, organised by the University Institute for Research on Internal Security (IUISI), the Civil Guard’s Analysis and Foresight Centre (CAP) and Isdefe.

The opening ceremony was led by the Head of the Civil Guard’s Technical Services Office, Arturo Espejo, Isdefe’s Director of Business Development, Jesús Alonso, and the Director of the IUISI, Fanny Castro Rial.
