On 9 June, Isdefe’s Director of Business Development, Jesús Alonso, announced the start of the 3rd Edition of the Programme to Solicit and Manage R&D Ideas. This initiative, which has previously shown the entrepreneurial spirit of Isdefe’s employees, calls on them to take part in internal innovation, research and development projects. 

This workshop, organised by the University Institute for Research on Internal Security (IUISI), the Civil Guard’s Analysis and Foresight Centre (CAP) and Isdefe, will be held on 20 June.

The goal of the workshop, which will be held in the Isdefe assembly hall, is to present the approaches taken by the Civil Guard and Isdefe to technology foresight, to raise awareness of the challenges facing us in the area of new technologies, and to present some of the lines of work currently being developed by both organisations.

The Toledo Infantry Academy will host the 5th edition of the DESEi+d Congress, which will be held from 22 to 24 November. The event, organised by the Directorate General for Armaments and Materiel’s (DGAM) Subdirectorate General for Planning, Technology and Innovation will feature the Directorate General for Military Recruitment and Education (DIGEREM), Isdefe and the Defence University Centres.

The first International Gender and Cybersecurity Forum ended on 6 June 2017. The theme was “Creating a more inclusive digital world v 1.0”, and it was organised by the National Institute for Cybersecurity (INCIBE) and the Organization of American States (OAS) at the auditorium of León.

The South European Systems Engineering Tour was just held in Paris, Rome and Madrid on 29, 30 and 31 May, which saw three workshops on systems engineering organised by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). The purpose of this event is to popularise this branch of knowledge among professionals and to strengthen the ties among the countries visited by the tour.
