Isdefe has been working with the Ministry of Defence for four years on organising the National Congress on R&D in Defence and Security (DESEI+D).

This congress brings together the main players in the area of R&D in Defence and Security. This 4th Congress, sponsored by the General Directorate for Armaments and Materiel’s (DGAM) Sub-Directorate for Planning, Technology and Innovation, will be held from 16 to 18 November at the University Centre for Defence in San Javier (Murcia).

This is the seventh year that Isdefe is showing its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, with the 2015 Isdefe Annual Report being certified as an active “Communication on Progress”.

The Communication on Progress is the annual report that is used to inform stakeholders of the actions taken to implement the Ten Principles of the Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption, in keeping with the Global Compact reporting policy. 

On 6 October Isdefe hosted at its headquarters a workshop from the National Security Office entitled “Horizon 2020 Programme: New Opportunities to Enhance R&D Capabilities in Law Enforcement Agencies.”

The 34th Air Force Awards for Excellence and Safety were presented yesterday, 6 October, at the reception hall in the Air Force headquarters. 

These awards recognise the work of those units and personnel devoted to service and excellence in the areas of maintenance and safety, and who enable the Air Force’s constant evolve into a body that is safer, more modern, efficient and operational.

On 29 and 30 September, the 3rd Ibero-American Congress on Public Innovation will be held at the University of La Laguna. This year’s event, sponsored by Isdefe, is organised by the Tenerife Island Council, the University of La Laguna and Novagob, the Spanish government’s social network.
