Meeting of the MAWA Forum Executive Level at Isdefe

On 25 September, at its assembly hall, Isdefe hosted the meeting of the Executive Level of the military airworthiness authorities (MAWA) forum. The meeting was chaired by Major General (R) Edvardas Mažeikis, who heads the Airworthiness, Standardisation and Certification (ASC) unit of the European Defence Agency (EDA) and brought together the national defence authorities of various European countries.

The MAWA Forum was set up in 2008 to coordinate European Union member states in developing a common regulatory framework for military airworthiness, and is led by the EDA. The MAWA Forum Executive Level met in the run-up to its annual conference, which was held at the Army War College on 26 and 27 September in Madrid.
