The Virtual Presentation of the 8th Edition of the National Congress on R&D in Defence and Security (DESEi+d 2020) and the Isdefe R&D Book Award took place on 30 June at an event organised by the General Directorate of Military Recruitment and Training (DIGEREM), the General Directorate of Armament and Materiel (DGAM), the Zaragoza University Centre for Defence and Isdefe.
The event, broadcast from Isdefe’s headquarters, featured over 250 virtual attendees, a sign of the great interest that exists in the National Congress on R&D in Defence and Security.
On Friday, 19 June, the Ministry of Defence’s General Directorate of Armament and Materiel (DGAM) organised a virtual workshop from Isdefe’s headquarters to report on the result of the call for the 2019 European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), and provided its vision and key guidelines for EDIDP 2020, as well as a general outline from the Ministry to support national initiatives in the future European Defence Fund.
The Operations Command (MOPS) of the Defence General Staff manages donations for humanitarian purposes in the Operations Zone through the Civic-Military Cooperation Units (CIMIC). The purpose of these units is to secure local support for the mission through cooperation and coordination between the military command and civilian communities.
During these weeks of confinement, computer and medical materials donated by Isdefe were delivered to the international missions of the Spanish Armed Forces stationed in Gabon, Lebanon, Mali and Senegal.
Organised by the Ministry of Defence’s Directorate General for Armament and Materiel (DGAM), in concert with Isdefe, a Virtual Information Workshop will be held on the 19th at 10:00 on the European Defence Plan (EDIDP-EDF).
At this workshop, the DGAM will report on the result of the call for the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) 2019, and provide its vision and key guidelines for EDIDP 2020, as well as a general outline of the Ministry’s support for the national initiatives in the future European Defence Fund.
The Monitoring Commission for Collective Bargaining of State-Owned Companies (CSNCEP) has decided to endorse the proposal presented by ISDEFE involving the allocation of the salary increase for 2019 laid out in Royal Decree 24/2018 of 21 December, which approves urgent measures in the area of salaries in public-sector companies; specifically, a salary increase of 2.25% (from 1 January to 30 June 2019) and of 2.50% (from 1 July to 31 December 2019).
Current salaried staff at the company will receive the increase and any back pay on the payment date reported by Management.
