The first edition of Hi! Drone Technology drew to an end on 8 June. This was the first drone technology fair in Andalusia, a gathering for drone industry companies and professionals that was held at the Malaga Fair and Convention Centre.

The goals of this forum were to showcase the latest technologies in the drone industry, to promote cooperation among research organisations in R&D projects and to promote the use of drones in professional settings.

The first International Gender and Cybersecurity Forum ended on 6 June 2017. The theme was “Creating a more inclusive digital world v 1.0”, and it was organised by the National Institute for Cybersecurity (INCIBE) and the Organization of American States (OAS) at the auditorium of León.

The South European Systems Engineering Tour was just held in Paris, Rome and Madrid on 29, 30 and 31 May, which saw three workshops on systems engineering organised by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). Óscar Pastor, head of Critical Systems and Infrastructure Security at Isdefe’s Defence and Security Office, collaborates on the Strategy Paper “Professional Qualifications and Specialised Training in Cybersecurity”. He co-wrote Chapter 8 with José Javier Martínez, a professor in the Computer Science Department at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares’ School of Computer Engineering.

The 4th Aerospace Engineering Congress will be held from 24 to 28 April at the Spanish Institute of Engineering. The theme for this event is “National Aeronautical and Space Strategy”.

This event, presided over by King Felipe VI, is organised by the Official Spanish Association of Aeronautical Engineers (COIAE), and focuses on the national aeronautical strategy. The Congress provides a forum for professionals, teachers, companies and institutions from Spain’s aeronautical sector to debate questions of vital import to the industry’s present and future.

The 3rd Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop on “Sustainability trends and plans”, organised by the University Institute for Research on Domestic Security (IUISI), was held on 30 March at the headquarters of Spain’s Civil Guard.

The opening ceremony for the permanent “Air of History” exhibit and the monument to the Mirage F-1 aircraft was held on Friday at the Villaviciosa Castle in Odón, home of the Historical Service of the Air Force.
