50th anniversary of the Moncloa Campus ETSIT Transfer

Francisco Quereda, CEO of Isdefe, participated in the conference "Challenges and opportunities of R & D in the new scenarios of the Defense and Security".

During his speech he focused mainly on three aspects: the context of innovation in the defense and security sector, the R + D policy carried out at Isdefe and the programs implemented within the academic field. In his opinion, the most important challenge in the future will be the need for coordination with other actors and to establish more attainable requirements to satisfy different users.

The conference, attended by a large presence of academics, both civil and military, as well as a large group of businessmen and students, is part of the activities organized whithin the framework of the 50th anniversary of the transfer to Moncloa Campus of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación to the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

In this regard, the CEO said Isdefe is in the process of launching a development scheme of technological foresight intended to be a "laboratory of ideas" supported by several academic research groups. This initiative will cover the strategic lines of defense and security, cyber security, air navigation, space and the management and economy of the public sector.
