The Chief of Staff opens the 2016 Cyberdefence Workshop

This morning the Head of the Defence Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Fernando García Sánchez, the Head of the Joint Cyberdefence Command, General Carlos Gómez López, and the CEO of Isdefe, Mr. Francisco Quereda Rubio, opened the 2016 Cyberdefence Workshop on military operations in cyberspace. The Workshop, sponsored by Isdefe, is intended to provide a forum in which to showcase and debate the state of the art in every aspect of cyberdefence, providing a national and international platform where participants can share knowledge and network with one another as they seek out new ways to cooperate.

During his speech, Isdefe’s CEO reaffirmed his company’s continued commitment to the Joint Cyberdefence Command and to the Defence Staff to offer specialised support to their activity, which is aligned with the organisation’s primary mission and function, and to support the Spanish government in specialised fields of technology, and in particular in the areas of defence and security.

The Workshop may be followed live using the streaming service available on the workshop website. Both attendees and those following the Workshop online can submit questions live to the speakers and then discuss their presentations in the areas of the website made available for this purpose.
