Closing of the 3rd International Congress on global security at the Universidad de Nebrija

The 3rd International Congress of the Universidad de Nebrija, on the topic of “Challenges to Global Security”, was held from 16 to 18 May. This gathering, which took place at the Spanish Army’s War College, reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to analysing and disseminating security issues.

The events of recent months, like the attacks in Germany, France and Israel, reveal the true dangers that manifestations of radicalism represent to our society and to the principles that underpin it.

In this third edition, special importance was given to the State institutions that are at the forefront in the struggle against these challenges. Representatives from organisations like DSN, CNPIT, CITCO, Telefónica and Isdefe debated terms like national security, critical infrastructure, applied intelligence and cyberterrorism.

Various internationally renowned speakers presented their points of view during the different sessions of the congress on a topic as complex as global security.

Daniel Acuña, Director of Defence and Security at Isdefe, took part in the opening panel on Tuesday, 18 May.

This gathering served not only to provide an interdisciplinary approach to security issues, but also to offer a medium in which to share and guide the decisions made by the relevant authorities.
