Epoolice project workshop against organized crime

Next 1st of December ePOOLICE Workshop (early Pursuit Against Organized crime using environmental scanning, the Law and Intelligence systems) project will take place in Isdefe. This is a project led by Isdefe and co-financed by the European Union through the Seventh Framework Programme for R & D (FP7) in the field of security.

With a duration of three years, ePOOLICE is designed for developing an effective and efficient system, including improving the working methods corresponding to the environment monitoring -political, social, economic, technological, legal, etc. -(environmental scanning) based on open heterogeneous information sources, developing a list of indicators. All as part of an early warning system for the detection of new threats from organized crime.

Isdefe along with other 16 partners from 8 member states of the European Union make up the consortium carrying out the project, among which are EUROPOL, Guardia Civil, West Yorkshire Police and Bavaria as well as the Interregional Institute Research United Nations Crime and Justice (UNICRI).

The project is in its final phase and ends on 31 December. The workshop results will be presented and accompanied by a demonstration of the prototype developed in the project.
