International Women's Day.

Isdefe is partnering with the Círculo Foundation initiative and joining in the celebration of International Women's Day with a historical collage of more than 170 women in the sector.

The Círculo Foundation of Technologies for Defence and Security brings together, for the first time in one composition, the current and future female directors of the 22+ institutions (including ministries, administration, universities and companies) that make up the Foundation.

The Foundation is also launching a mentoring programme for women in the technology-science sector of defence and security in an effort to enhance and promote their professional development.

The aim of this initiative is to shine a light on and acknowledge women in the defence and security technology and science sector. To this end, all the institutions in the Círculo Foundation have been asked to take a photo of the women who sit on the boards of directors or management committees of their institution or company, as well as all those with a STEM degree who have just joined the workforce.

The result is an image of more than 170 women who voluntarily wanted to participate in the campaign and who symbolise the recognition, work and skills of all women.

This initiative seeks to provide continuity and to be a benchmark so that, year after year, we can add more and more female talent to the technological and scientific sector of defence and security.

In addition, as part of its desire to promote equality for women in this area, the Círculo Foundation will be launching a mentoring programme in the second half of this year that aims to bolster the professional development of all women in this area.

Representing Isdefe in this initiative were Carmen Canda, Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mercedes Recio, Director of Economic and Financial Planning, and Cristina Hernández, Director of Consulting and Strategic Management Processes, who were featured in the mosaic alongside the Secretary of State for Defence, Esperanza Casteleiro, honorary president of the Foundation, the Director General of the Civil Guard, María Gámez, four top commissioners of the National Police, the president of GMV, Mónica Martínez, the president of Sainsel, Susana Hernández, and many others.
