ISDEFE AT THE 13th CERES WORKSHOP

Daniel Acuña, Isdefe’s Director of Defence and Security, moderated the expert panel on “Protecting people and institutions” at the CERES Workshop, which was held on 7 and 8 Februart at the headquarters of the Royal Mint of Spain (FNMT-RCM).

CERES, organised by FNMT-RCM in concert with related public institutions, is a meeting point for managers from public agencies and companies involved in the rapid development of the world of technology.

The Workshops dealt with the new technologies, needs, challenges and opportunities facing public officials and companies, including how to approach and undertake the required digital transformation.

The certification need for managing public administrations and companies using electronic means affects every area of Public Administration. It is also a legal requirement and offers efficiency and transparency to administrations and citizens alike.

The Workshops brought together public officials of every level from across the country: the national, regional and local governments, organisations and public companies, as well as representatives from companies and other institutions.

The panel moderated by Daniel Acuña featured José Luis Goberna Caride, Division General and Deputy Director General for ICT at the Ministry of Defence, with a speech on “Implications of Information Security on the Digital Transformation Process at the Ministry of Defence”; Pablo Muñoz de Mora, Chief Commissioner of the Computer Department of the Ministry of Interior’s National Police, with a speech on “The Digital Transformation in the National Police Corps, Engine of Public Safety”; and Julián Prieto, Deputy Director General for the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s General Data Protection Registry, who spoke on “Data Protection and Technology”.
