Isdefe Computers donation in Lebanon

Last Friday, October 16th, Isdefe donated 57 laptops to three schools in Marjaryoun Region, in the southern area of Lebanon, as a part of the Agreement between Isdefe and the Defence Staff Joint Operations Command for delivering  computing equipment with humanitarian purposes in operations area.

 

Throughout its Civil Military Cooperation Unit (CIMIC), the Joint Operation Command invited Isdefe to participate in the delivery acts surrounding the near villages of the Spanish Base "Miguel de Cervantes" under the UN mission framework in Lebanon (UNIFIL): The School Teachers Marjayoun, the Primary School Kfer Kila and the Technical School of Meis.

During the different events, which were attended by the directors of the centers, CIMIC Unit, Isdefe, and local community representatives, the schools’ managers expressed their gratitude to Isdefe for the computers donation, which will empower the development of students skills and will improve their technological education, as well as the Spanish contingent for their support of local people.

 Isdefe was represented by Systems and Support’ manager, Mr. José Manuel Sastre, responsible for the computer operating systems and free software installation and the Corporate Social Responsibility manager, Mrs. Rocio Beltran.

The CIMIC Unit is committed to maintaining the relationship with both civil and religious local authorities, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations, with the aim of contributing to the development of the area, its stability and progress and to improve the perception of Lebanese society of the Spanish Armed Forces’ labor.
