Isdefe takes part in the 3rd CivilDRON17 Congress

Yesterday saw the conclusion of the 3rd CivilDRON17 Congress on drone applications, organised by the Province of Madrid (CAM) and the CAM’s Energy Foundation and held in the assembly hall of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid’s School of Industrial Engineering.

This third edition was devoted to design engineering, research on new materials and propulsion and navigation systems, data capture technologies and information processing software.

Present at the opening ceremony were Javier Ruiz Santiago, Assistant Advisor on Economy and Innovation for the Province of Madrid, the Director of Spain’s National Aviation Safety Agency, Ms Isabel Maestre Moreno, and the Director of the School of Industrial Engineering, Mr Emilio Mínguez Torres.

Isdefe took part in this congress with a presentation by Andrés Arranz on the DEMORPAS Project titled “Tests for Integrating RPAs into Unsegregated Airspace”. The goal of the DEMORPAS Project is to study how to integrate remotely-piloted aircraft into unsegregated airspace with manned and unmanned aircraft. Isdefe is leading this project and provides consulting services, backed by its ample experience creating exercise plans and analysing operational and physical safety.
