Isdefe takes part in the EURAC 2016 European Air Chiefs Conference

Isdefe will take part in EURAC 2016, the European Air Chiefs Conference. Representing 28 delegations, the event will take place from 3 to 6 May in Mallorca, and features a schedule of talks and demonstrations to be held at both Formentor Bay and the San Juan Air Base.

The main theme of this year’s conference will be the Air Force’s contribution to crisis management in the current strategic context.

Isdefe’s presence at the industrial aerospace exhibit will serve to promote technical development and innovation, the goal being to improve Europe’s security and defence model and collective and bilateral cooperation.

The schedule of activities includes a special forces demonstration in a simulated scenario, Operation “Sofia”, and an area devoted to the aeronautics industry and defence companies, where Isdefe will have its own stand.

Isdefe’s cooperation with the Air Force dates back to the initial work on its SIMCA (Integrated Air Command & Control System) programme, to planning activities, defining technical solutions, surveillance and communications, the preparation of technical documents, procurement tracking, the testing and validation of design and requirements, and other activities.

Also worth noting is Isdefe’s support to the AF through the technical assistance and consulting services provided to the Programme Office for the European EF2000 fighter plane, as well as to the Logistical Support Command’s (MALOG) EF2000 cost evaluation group.

In the area of AF fleet maintenance Isdefe has provided support to various programmes: Eurofighter, A400M, cargo airplanes, Falcon 20, Falcon 900, helicopters, on-board weapons, etc.
