Isdefe Takes Part in the UPM Summer Course: “Addressing Aviation and ATM Safety Challenges”

As has become the norm in recent years, Madrid Polytechnic University’s (UPM) summer courses, now in their 12th edition, were launched in June at said institution.  Isdefe is taking part in this programme with two lectures in the course on “Laboratory of Ideas for Aviation Safety: Addressing Aviation and ATM Safety Challenges”. The course will be given from July 11 to 14 at the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso (La Granja- Segovia)

The main goal of the course will be to address the main challenges that aviation and air traffic management will have to face in the medium and long term, and to analyze them by considering both the nature of the challenge, driven by operating systems and future concepts, and how emergent technologies and providers can deal with these challenges.

The course’s lecturers will include two Isdefe engineers.  On Monday the 11th, Daniel Mosquera Benítez, Director of the R&D Department, will give a lecture on the main aspects of Isdefe’s “Horizons Network” foresight programme.

On Wednesday the 13th, Paula García Suárez, an engineer in the Transport Quality and Testing Department, will give a lecture on “Information Security in the Transport Sector: State of the Art and Key trends”.

The course, which will be given in English, will combine theory and practical sessions. For more information, and to see the course outline: http://goo.gl/pviy6M
