The Minister of Development visits the Isdefe stand at World ATM Congress.

Isdefe was present at the 4th World Air Traffic Management Congress (World ATM Congress), a leading international gathering promoted by CANSO, the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, in collaboration with ATCA, the Air Traffic Control Association, an event that assembles air traffic control providers from all over the world.

The World ATM Congress provides a setting that brings together 125 countries and exhibitors from more than 200  different companies specializing in the aerospace and aviation sectors. Yet again Isdefe was an active participant at the fair.

The Minister of Development, Ana Pastor, visited the company’s stand and learned of the organization’s main projects in this area directly from Isdefe’s CEO, Francisco Quereda. There were other notable visitors to Isdefe’s stand, like Isabel Maestre, Director of AESA, Pablo Fernández García, CEO of SENASA, Lieutenant General Eduardo Gil Rosella, SEJEMA, Frank Brenner, Managing Director of Eurocontrol, Angel Luis Arias, Managing Director of Enaire, Ignacio González Sánchez, Director of Air Navigation and Raul Medina, Director of the DGAC.

This setting made it possible to showcase the latest technologies and services in the sector, while at the same time providing a venue for an extensive program of conferences and meetings where leading experts discussed the current situation and the main developments and solutions involved in this sector.

Isdefe participated in these work sessions through the workshop on "Ongoing Postgraduate and PhP research in RPAs", in which Carlos Regidor, Head of the Department of Quality and Testing in Transport, and Carlos Bueno, a systems engineer in the Communications Systems  Department, presented the " Demorpas Dissemination Forum " project to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) into the general air traffic management system. This project has been spearheaded by Isdefe as part of the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) program.

Then , Lluis Vinagre, Marketing Manager of the DDN, presented the "Red Horizons" project, a technology foresight development program that is relying on several academic research groups to develop technology foresight. The initiative covers five strategic areas, one of which involves Air Navigation and in which Isdefe is collaborating with the School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
