Practical seminar on managing European funds, organised by Isdefe

On 8 and 9 April, Isdefe organised and hosted at its headquarters a “Practical Seminar on Managing European Funds: Present and Future”, which featured representatives from the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) and the European Commission.

This seminar is part of the activities of the “Horizons Network”, an Isdefe initiative to analyse and anticipate new, future challenges to the General Government Administration (AGE). The Network is set up as a group of observatories to identify and respond to the needs and challenges of the AGE through innovation and managing know-how.

The event was structured over two sessions, which analysed the current European context, the lessons learned and the critical aspects of managing the funds in the current programming period. There was also a debate on the future scenario, which anticipated the most relevant aspects of upcoming European Commission policies and criteria for the new 2021-2027 programming cycle.

It was very interesting to learn of the experience of the Polish government and the joint reflection of the case study “Critical points in managing funds”, led by EIPA and which involved everyone in attendance, including officials from ten ministries, several state-owned companies and Isdefe who are involved in managing and implementing funds.
