The Task Force for CSR in state-owned companies presents a guide for the 2030 Agenda

On the 4th December, the Task Force for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in state-owned companies, consisting of 28 state-owned entities, presented its “Practical Guide for State-Owned Companies to Contribute to the 2030 Agenda” at the Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO).

Isdefe is part of this group, which has been working with Forética over the course of 2018 on designing a roadmap that will provide a guide for further integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) into its strategy. This roadmap is also intended to provide a self-diagnostic tool so that companies can analyse how they are promoting responsible management and define future priorities to ensure that Spain is in compliance with the SDG.

The event was presided over by the High Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda, Ms Cristina Gallach, who highlighted the role of state-owned companies as examples of sustainability for the private sector and noted the commitment of the state-owned companies to the 2030 Agenda.

In the Guide, Isdefe publishes a best practice involving the company’s contribution to SDG 16, “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, with its Transparency Portal Modernisation and Innovation Project, the goal of which is to enhance the corporate culture of transparent governance.

The Task Force for CSR in state-owned companies is a corporate partnership platform whose purpose is to encourage the companies involved to exchange know-how in environmental, social and good governance aspects, as well as to showcase corporate success stories. Isdefe has been a member of the group since its founding in 2017. The group, which is coordinated by Forética, has the following state-owned companies as members: Adif, Aena, Aquavall, Canal Sur Radio y Televisión, CESCE, Corporación Empresarial Pública de Aragón, Correos, Emasesa, ENAIRE, Enresa, Extremadura Avante, Grupo ENUSA, Grupo Tragsa, ICO, INCIBE, INFORMA D&B, ITVASA, Metro de Madrid, Paradores, Renfe, RTVE and Valenciaport.
